Overview

Safe drinking water is fundamental to public health and economic development. Our Drinking Water Treatment services are designed for municipalities, commercial establishments, and industrial facilities – delivering high-volume, reliable purification that goes far beyond household filtration. We help cities and organizations ensure their water supply is free from harmful contaminants and meets strict quality standards, protecting communities and end-users.

We provide end-to-end solutions that cover every stage of water treatment, from the moment raw water is drawn from the source to the point it reaches consumers. Each system is custom-engineered to address the specific water quality challenges and capacity needs of the client, whether it's a municipal waterworks, a large factory, a hospital, or a commercial complex. Our professional team ensures a seamless integration of technologies to achieve cost-effective, sustainable, and compliant results.

Our Treatment Process

Water undergoes multiple stages of purification to become safe, clean drinking water.

Raw Water Intake

We begin by drawing raw water from the source (rivers, lakes, borewells, etc.) through intakes designed to handle large volumes. At this stage, coarse screening is used to remove leaves, trash, and other large debris, preventing any big contaminants from entering the treatment plant.

Pre-Treatment

In pre-treatment, we condition the water to prepare it for filtration. This often involves coagulation and flocculation – adding specialized chemicals that cause fine suspended particles to clump into larger flocs. The water then passes through settling tanks (clarifiers) where these flocs sediment out, significantly reducing turbidity and removing color and organic impurities.

Filtration

After pre-treatment, the water is filtered to eliminate any remaining suspended particles and impurities. We use sand filtration or other multimedia filters where water percolates through layers of sand, gravel, and other media. This process physically strains out fine particles, resulting in clear water free of visible turbidity.

Disinfection

Next, the water is thoroughly disinfected to eliminate pathogens. We utilize methods like chlorination (adding chlorine or chlorine compounds) as well as advanced options such as ultraviolet (UV) treatment or ozonation. This critical step destroys bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, ensuring the water is safe for consumption by the time it reaches end-users.

Post-Treatment & Distribution

Finally, we perform any post-treatment steps required to polish the water and maintain its quality through the distribution network. This can include pH adjustment (to neutralize the water and prevent pipe corrosion) and dosing a slight chlorine residual to keep water safe during storage and distribution. The treated water is then stored in tanks or reservoirs and pumped out through the water supply system, ready to be delivered as safe drinking water to your facilities or community.

Technologies We Use

Employing proven, state-of-the-art technologies to achieve optimal water quality.

Sand Filtration

We use granular media filters (sand and gravel beds) to remove suspended solids and reduce turbidity. Sand filtration is a time-tested, reliable method that physically strains out impurities, acting as the backbone of most drinking water treatment systems.

Activated Carbon

Activated carbon treatment is employed to eliminate tastes, odors, and chemical pollutants. The porous carbon media effectively adsorbs organic compounds, chlorine, and even traces of pesticides or industrial solvents, ensuring the water is clear, odor-free, and palatable.

UV Sterilization

Our systems can include Ultraviolet (UV) sterilization units that inactivate bacteria and viruses without using chemicals. High-intensity UV light damages microbial DNA, providing an additional layer of safety and disinfection that is especially useful for sensitive applications like healthcare or food industries.

Ozonation

We utilize ozone, a powerful oxidizing gas, to purify water by oxidizing and breaking down contaminants. Ozonation is an effective advanced treatment step that can improve water taste and odor while destroying microorganisms. Ozone naturally decomposes, leaving no residual, which makes it a clean choice for disinfection.

Reverse Osmosis (RO)

For sources with high salinity or specific dissolved impurities, our plants can incorporate Reverse Osmosis membranes. RO technology pushes water through semi-permeable membranes to remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, and other minute contaminants. The result is ultra-pure water that meets the most stringent quality requirements, which is ideal for industrial processes or areas with brackish water sources.

Standards & Compliance

Every Mint Environ drinking water treatment solution is developed with strict adherence to national and international water quality standards. We design and operate our plants to meet or exceed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) IS 10500 specifications for drinking water, which cover a comprehensive range of quality parameters. Additionally, our processes align with the World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality, ensuring that the water you receive is safe, clean, and wholesome.

By following these rigorous standards, we not only guarantee regulatory compliance but also give our clients peace of mind. Our team conducts regular water quality testing and monitoring at each stage of treatment, ensuring that the output consistently meets the promised standards before it is delivered to your distribution system.
